5 reasons to buy the 2016 Lexus RC F
1. Ready for the track
Your track days just got a lot more exciting. The chassis of the 2016 Lexus RC F is extremely rigid, with stiff front and rear bracing to maximize grip. The RC F also offers, as an option, Lexus’s torque vectoring system, which can shift power to the outside rear wheel when cornering. For shopping power, you have six-piston Brembo® calipers and huge 14.9-inch front brake rotors to help you control your speed both on and off the track.
2. 467-horsepower V8 engine
The 5.0L V8 engine in the RC F will not only take care of your merging and passing needs on the road but also ensure you have the necessary power on the track. The engine produces 467 horsepower and 389 lb-ft of torque, screaming all the way to its 7300-RPM redline. With the eight-speed automatic transmission, you can shift through the gears manually with the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
3. Available Performance Package
The optional Performance Package encourages you to turn the performance up a notch, including some notable features for looks and performance. The package includes a carbon fiber roof to reduce weight, as well as a carbon fiber application for the speed-activated rear wing. It also adds Lexus’s torque vectoring differential system.
4. Luxury features list
The RC F may be tuned for the track, but it still brings the luxury amenities you’d expected from a Lexus. Some of the highlights include an available 835-watt Mark Levinson® sound system, which is paired with the RC F’s navigation package. If you live in a cold climate, you’ll appreciate the All Weather Package, which offers a heated steering wheel, windshield wipe de-icer, and headlamp washers.
5. Variety of color options
Part of owning a sporty coupe is about making a splash when you arrive, and the RC F offers exciting colors for its exterior. Those colors include a bright blue, vibrant red, and an eye-catching orange color. A more traditional gray, black, and white are also available if you want to keep the look of your RC F a bit more classic.
