Comfortable luxury with cool options
The 2016 Lincoln MKZ is a different take on midsize luxury. You can see that in the unique exterior with a large winged grille and single tail lamp running the width of the chiseled rear. It also shows up in the unbelievably comfortable cabin, with a soft suspension, and muted sounds from the outside. Options like the massive power retractable roof add flavor and fun, while top-tier Reserve trim and Black Label package pile on luxury appointments. Look for optional 19-inch wheels, massaging front seats, and a power open/close trunk for a luxury car you will enjoy driving every time.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 Lincoln MKZ
1. Comfort above everything
The 2016 Lincoln MKZ is a traditional luxury car in the sense that it gives up some speed and handling in exchange for a ride and drive that provides maximum insulation from the road. A standard active suspension mitigates bumps before they can enter the cabin, and standard active noise cancellation means you won't hear any road drone even if it does make it inside. With big, soft seats featuring standard heat and 10-way power adjustability, everyone can get comfortable in an MKZ.
2. Smart driver tech
If you ignore a perfect parking spot because it requires you to parallel park, look for the available active park assist that will do it for you, in a space as small as 1.2 times the length of the car. Available forward sensing helps get you out of a parking spot when big vehicles are on both sides, while reverse sensing does the same when backing. Other awesome available road-trip-worthy tech includes lane-keep assist, driver alert system, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring. With these options, the MKZ can reduce your number of driving tasks.
3. Solid V6
While the standard 2.0L four-cylinder is adequate, an optional-at-all-trims V6 provides a big power upgrade. The available 3.7L V6 delivers 300 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels standard, or optionally, all four. Step on it from a stop, and the 2016 MKZ will hustle zero to 60 in 6.4 seconds. With either FWD or AWD, the MKZ has a standard six-speed automatic transmission with available paddle shifters.
4. Cool retractable roof
Convertibles are great, except for when the weather is bad. The 2016 MKZ has the solution in the form of its gigantic retractable roof. On a beautiful sunny day, push a button and watch as the entire glass roof retracts, opening the space above all five seats. The MKZ equipped with this optional retractable roof has views that no mere sunroof can match. Get on the highway and it will automatically close halfway to reduce wind noise, or close it in 10 seconds with one button push.
5. All-weather AWD
Rain and snow, slush, and even sand or cut grass on the road are all slick conditions that you might not be prepared for. No worries here, as the 2016 MKZ is available with all-wheel drive. This intelligent system pairs with the base four-cylinder and optional V6 engines to deliver power to the wheels with grip instead of the ones trying to slip. It’s an automatic system, so no driver inputs are needed, and you probably won’t even notice it working other than the confidence it gives.
