1. Commuter-friendly powertrain 

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 has a 1.2L three-cylinder engine that delivers just 78 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque. This pairs with a standard five-speed manual transmission or optional CVT that ships power to the front wheels. This is far from a powerhouse, but the Mirage G4 will impress you with its EPA-estimated fuel-economy ratings of 35 mpg city, 42 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined with the CVT.

The 2017 Mirage G4 is pretty basic in its entry-level trim, but it has a few nice features, such as power windows and door locks, a four-speaker audio system, air conditioning, and keyless entry. Manual transmissions are scarce these days, even in entry-level cars. However, the 2017 Mirage G4 comes standard with a five-speed manual gearbox. This gives you total control over the vehicle’s shift points, giving you a more engaging and connected drive. It also means you can better tap into the limited output of the 1.2L engine.
