2019 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 review

1. Commute-ready powertrain 

Powering the 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 draws is a 1.2L three-cylinder engine with 78 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT that ships power to the front wheels. This is not a powerful setup, but that’s not the point of the Mirage G4. What you’ll find most beneficial is the Mirage G4’s EPA-estimated fuel-economy ratings of 35 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined with the CVT.

Sticking with the standard manual drops these ratings to 33 mpg city, 40 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined. 

2. City-sized footprint 

Crowded cities pose issues for big sedans or SUVs, as their larger footprints can make it challenging to park and flow in and out of traffic. Thanks to its small footprint, the Mirage G4 has no such issues with crowding and traffic. Its petite dimensions allow the 2019 Mirage G4 to zip in and out of traffic and easily fit into just about any parking space.  

3. Four adults fit comfortably 

Small cars are great for city driving but aren’t always the most family-friendly models due to their cramped cabins. Despite its compact size, the 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage G4’s interior has enough space to accommodate four adults. The front seats offer 41.7 inches of legroom, allowing them to accommodate a wide range of heights. The rear seats are the most shocking, offering an adult-friendly 37.3 inches of legroom. So, everyone will be comfortable in the 2019 Mirage G4 no matter who you're hauling. 

4. Lots of optional equipment 

The 2019 Mirage G4 is understandably basic in its entry-level trim, but it still has many features you’ll appreciate in an entry-level car. For the technology buff, the Mirage G4 has a seven-inch touchscreen, a four-speaker audio system, Bluetooth^® connectivity, and more.  If you need more technology, the SE trim has a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ integration. Manual transmissions aren’t easy to find in today’s cars — even in entry-level cars. The 2019 Mirage G4 bucks that trend by offering a standard five-speed manual gearbox. This manual transmission lets you control the Mirage G4’s shift points, giving you a more engaging and connected drive. A manual transmission also will enable you to tap into the limited output of the 1.2L engine more effectively.
