2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 review

1. Ready for your commute 

With a 1.2L three-cylinder engine under its hood, the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 has a modest 78 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque that flows through a standard five-speed manual transmission and out to the front wheels. You can also opt for a CVT. Though it’s not powerful, the Mirage G4 wil please you with its impressive EPA-estimated fuel-economy ratings of 35 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined with the CVT.

2. A city-ready people hauler 

Big sedans and SUVs aren’t ideal for navigating crowded cities because their large footprints make parking or zipping in and out of traffic hard. The Mirage G4 lacks this problem because its tiny footprint makes it a breeze to maneuver it. The front seats offer you a roomy 41.7 inches of legroom, so people of all sizes fit easily. The rear seats are spacy, too, with 37.3 inches of legroom. 4. Sharp Black Edition 

For the 2022 model year, Mitsubishi added the Mirage G4 Black Edition. You’ll appreciate the sporty and custom appearance this special edition adds to this tiny sedan. On the outside, this package adds 15-inch black alloy wheels, black mirror caps, a red-accented front grille, and a black spoiler. Inside, it’ll continue to please your eyes with red-accented seats and door trim and a blacked-out center console and vents. 

5. Available manual transmission 

Manual transmissions aren’t popular these days — even in entry-level cars. The 2022 Mirage G4 is one of the few sedans that still offer a manual transmission, as it comes standard with a five-speed gearbox. This manual transmission lets you better control the Mirage G4’s shift points and have an enjoyable, engaging, and connected drive. This manual transmission also allows you to better tap into the limited output of the 1.2L engine.
