Updated look, but still roomy

The 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 picked up a new look with redesigned front and rear ends. This refresh gave it a more mature look you’ll appreciate and one that better aligns with the styling of the other vehicles in the automaker’s lineup. Despite this change, the 2021 Mirage G4 remains a tiny, city-friendly sedan that zips through traffic with the best of them. But it also features a surprisingly roomy cabin with 41.7 inches of front legroom and an adult-friendly 37.3 inches of rear legroom. This makes the rear seats plenty accommodating for kids, teens, and most adults.

5 reasons to buy the 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage G4

1. Commuter-friendly subcompact

A 1.2L three-cylinder engine powers the 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 and ships 78 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque through a standard five-speed manual transmission and out to the front wheels. If you’re not up for shifting gears, opt for a CVT. The Mirage G4 is in no way a powerful sedan, but that’s OK because it focuses on being commuter-friendly. It pulls this off with impressive EPA-estimated fuel-economy ratings of 35 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined with the CVT.

Staying with the base manual transmission drops these ratings to 33 mpg city, 40 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined.

2. A family car that’s also city-ready

Larger sedans and SUVs aren’t always the best options for navigating crowded cities, as their larger footprints present a challenge when parking or zipping in and out of traffic. The Mirage G4 has no such issues thanks to its tiny footprint that ensures you can easily maneuver it wherever you need it to go. Its small dimensions allow you to easily flow the 2021 Mirage G4 in and out of traffic or into just about any parking space.

3. Fits four adults comfortably

As a tiny city car, the Mirage G4 is superb at navigating tight traffic. However, small cars generally present one glaring issue: limited interior room. The 2021 Mirage G4’s small body does not impact its ability to haul people, as it can comfortably accommodate four adults. Up front, the seats offer you a roomy 41.7 inches of legroom, making them suitable for people of all sizes. The rear seats are just as impressive, with 37.3 inches of legroom. It doesn’t matter if you’re dropping the kids at their friends’ houses or managing your office carpool; everyone has all the room they need in the 2021 Mirage G4.

4. Spiffy Carbonite Edition

Even Han Solo can appreciate the new-for-2021 Mirage G4 Carbonite Edition. This special edition gives the 2021 Mirage G4 a unique look that’s sure to please your eye. It sets itself apart from the rest of the Mirage G4 lineup with a carbon-pattern front grille and air dam, side air dam, b-pillar decal, and rear air dam with red accents.

5. Standard manual transmission

Manual transmissions are dying off quickly in today’s cars, making them increasingly hard to find — even in entry-level cars. The 2021 Mirage G4 sticks with the manual in the form of a five-speed gearbox. W/ith a manual transmission, you have complete control of the Mirage G4’s shift points, giving you a more enjoyable, engaging, and connected drive. The manual gearbox also lets you more effectively tap into the limited output of the 1.2L engine.
