The 2012 Nissan Versa is available in both sedan and hatchback body styles, so you can choose the option that best suits your tastes. From there, each body style is offered in a range of trim configurations. The sedan is available in base Versa S, Versa SV, and Versa SL trims—whereas the hatchback comes in both S and SL options. Regardless of trim, every 2012 Versa is equipped with standard features such as 15-inch wheels, power accessories, and air conditioning.
Depending on your preferences, the 2012 Versa was offered with automatic and manual transmission configurations when sold as new. If you prefer the excitement of a manual transmission, the 2012 Nissan Versa sedan comes standard with a five-speed manual on its base trim. Meanwhile, a six-speed manual is standard on the 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback.
For a compact sedan, the 2012 Versa offers an impressive amount of room for passengers to stretch out and get comfortable inside its cabin. Both the hatchback and sedan can seat up to four passengers—and an upright seating design makes the Versa's seats quite supportive and comfortable (even on longer road trips). The suspension on the Versa sedan was also revised for the 2012 model year, delivering a smoother ride that drivers and passengers alike will enjoy.
The trunk space on the 2012 Versa is also surprising for a vehicle of its class. On the sedan, you'll have a whopping 14.8 cubic feet of dedicated trunk space. The 2012 Versa hatchback offers even more storage space, maxing out at 50 cubic feet with its rear seats folded down.
Even on its base S trim, the 2012 Versa is hardly bare bones. On the sedan version, you'll find features such as a height-adjustable driver's seat for added comfort, as well as a CD player with an auxiliary jack and a built-in trip computer. Meanwhile, the hatchback is equipped with a robust four-speaker sound system and a 60/40-split-folding rear row of seats.
