Cargo capability in a compact package
Sure, SUVs have taken over roads and parking lots. But there’s still room for a functional, enjoyable small wagon like the 2017 Volvo V60. It’s a smart choice if you want a compact vehicle that can carry more than a golf bag but don’t want a bigger, bulkier SUV. Think of it as a sedan with a huge trunk. Plus, you get Volvo’s Swedish style, a range of drivetrain and trim level options, and an array of advanced driver-assist features. The seats are known for comfort, and the interior wraps you in luxurious style. The 2017 Volvo V60 could be your pick for a small luxury wagon.

5 reasons to buy the 2017 Volvo V60
1. Style and space
The 2017 Volvo V60 wears its Volvo heritage with pride. Take a look at it—you’ll see the elegant profile with the sloping roofline leading to the gracefully extended cargo area. Open the solid doors to sit in the comfortable seats as you notice the blend of a high-tech atmosphere with premium surfaces. Yes, it’s stylish and comfortable. But here’s why you should check out the V60. Look behind the cozy rear seats for the 20 cu-ft of cargo space. Then, fold the 40/20/20-split rear seat backs to reveal 43.9 cu-ft of room. That’s why the V60 wagon will work for you.
2. Driving experience
All versions of the 2017 Volvo V60 use a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The T5 models deliver 240 hp, while the T6 AWD R-Design has a 302 hp version. The T5 accelerates 0-60 mph in six seconds without any sign of hesitation or engine noise as the transmission smoothly shifts at just the right time. If you’re looking for more power, the T6 AWD R-Design feels much more sportier than a Volvo wagon. The available Sport package on the T5 sharpens handling and responsiveness.
3. Driver assistance features
The 2017 Volvo V60’s list of standard driver-assist features includes Volvo’s technologies that provide a forward collision warning and can automatically apply the brakes at speeds up to 19 mph to prevent or minimize a front collision. Additional assist technologies are offered on upper trim levels or as options. The optional Blind Spot Information System includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors. Adding the Technology package gives you an advanced forward collision mitigation system, lane departure warning, and intervention.
4. Models to suit your needs
The 2017 V60 wagon is available in T5, T5 Premier, T5 Dynamic, T5 Platinum and T6 AWD R-Design trim levels. The base T5 is well equipped with simulated leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat, and Bluetooth® connectivity. The Premier level adds silver roof rails, leather upholstery, and a navigation system. If you’re looking for a sporty option, the T5 Dynamic includes 18-inch wheels, black roof rails, front sport seats, and steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. The Premier trim adds adaptive headlights and the Convenience and Technology packages. The performance-oriented T6 AWD R-Design trim begins with the Premier equipment and adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, power-folding mirrors, and power-folding rear head restraints.
5. Attractive options
You can add options to the 2017 Volvo V60 as part of a package, or some are available individually. For the base T5, the Sport package enhances its already engaging handling — or just look for the extra-supportive sport front seats. The Technology package, standard with the Platinum trim, adds adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and intervention, and a drowsy driver alert. The Convenience package includes keyless ignition and entry, a rearview camera, power-folding mirrors, and a grocery bag holder in the cargo area. The Dynamic trim’s Platinum package consists of the Technology and Convenience packages plus a premium sound system.
