Powerful family SUV
Choosing between a practical family hauler and a fun V8-powered road-trip companion is pretty simple if you take a look at the 2024 Dodge Durango. There are six trim levels to choose from, including SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. There are a host of amazing engines to choose from, starting with the standard 3.6L V6 making a stout 295 horsepower. The V6 is standard on the SXT, GT, and Citadel, but if you opt for the R/T, you'll get a standard 5.7L V8 engine making 360 horsepower. There's more power to be had, the SRT uses a big 6.4L V8 engine making 475 horsepower, while the SRT Hellcat has a ridiculously amazing 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine with 710 horsepower. All-wheel-drive is optional. on all trim levels except the two SRT Durangos. The 2024 Durango is pretty special and would make a great addition to your garage.

5 reasons to buy the 2024 Dodge Durango
1. Epic power
The biggest story with the 2024 Durango is under the hood. The standard 3.6L V6 isn't bad, it's got 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque (SXT, GT, and Citadel). If you have the need for speed, there are three V8 engines available. First up, the R/T trim gets a 5.7L V8 engine with 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Jump up to the SRT, and you'll get a 6.4L V8 engine with 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, while the top-spec SRT Hellcat is powered by a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine making an astonishing 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque.
2. SUV practicality
Your 2024 Durango may have a bit more attitude than most, but it can easily pull family-mobile duty on a daily basis. A third row is standard on all trim levels except for the base SXT. That means seating for six and a solid 17.2 cu-ft of cargo space behind the third row. That expands to a maximum of 85.1 cu-ft of space with the two rear rows folded.
3. The latest tech
Up front, you'll find a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration systems. Optional on the GT (standard on all other trim levels) is a great 10.1-inch touchscreen if you need more. Throughout the cabin are USB and 12-volt charging options to keep passengers charged on the go. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is standard, while a host of other driver aids are optional.
4. Sport upgrades
All those big V8 engines are great, but Dodge also offers a host of other performance upgrades across the various V8-powered trim levels. The R/T already has a standard sport-tuned suspension and 20-inch wheels, but if you want more, check out the SRT trim. It has big Brembo® brakes, a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, and sport seats with upgraded leather. Meanwhile, the SRT Hellcat has engine cooling upgrades plus even larger Brembo brakes.
5. Luxury and comfort
Even the base SXT has heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, but the comfort features continue to increase as you go up the range. Anywhere you see "Plus" (except the base SXT), that means upgrades like leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a sunroof. Meanwhile, the Premium versions upgrade the interior even further with higher-quality trim and upgraded audio systems.
