Some don't like the weight, but I like the fact that is a heavier car, holds the road very well, has a super charged engine so it gets on down the road, I purchased this car for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Handling is great and the ride is very smooth. I have a Cadillac Deville this car won't out run it but it sure rides better and is more comfortable.

Audi Q7 Trim Configurations

2015 Audi Q7 Trim Configurations

Starting with the base-level 3.0T Premium and TDI Premium, these come standard with 18-inch wheels (19-inch wheels on the TDI Premium), xenon headlights, LED taillights and turn signals, rear parking sensors and powered tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, leather upholstery with powered front seats, Bluetooth® connectivity, and an 11-speaker sound system featuring satellite radio, a CD player, and iPod compatibility.

On to the 3.0T and TDI Premium Plus packages, these include a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot warning system, parking aids (a rearview camera and front sensors), keyless entry/ignition start, and an upgraded 14-speaker sound system.

The top-level TDI Prestige package features 20-inch wheels, corner-view cameras, the Warm-Weather package including four-zone climate control, and ventilated front seats. The 3.0T S Line Prestige ups the output from the 3.0L engine while adding sport-based exterior elements.

2017 Audi Q7 Trim Configurations

Audi skipped the 2016 model year to focus on the 2017 Q7, which offers the Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trim levels.

The base Premium model includes many of the features from the 2015 Premium trim level, and adds automatic windshield wipers, forward collision warning and automatic braking systems, three-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery with powered and heated front seats, split second-row folding seats, and split third-row power-folding seats.

The Premium Plus trim includes satellite navigation, blind-spot monitoring, and ambient interior lighting as standard, and the Vision package (LED headlights and surround-view cameras) and Warm-Weather package (four-zone climate control and ventilated front seats) as options.

The top-line Prestige package comes with the top 3.0L V6 engine as standard, and includes 20-inch wheels, heads-up display, and a 19-speaker Bose® surround sound system.

2018 Audi Q7 Trim Configurations

The same trim levels are back for 2018 with the same features, but each has some new additions.

The Premium base trim adds two USB ports, Audi Pre-Sense Basic with pedestrian detection, HomeLink garage door opener, front and rear parking sensors and both LED front and taillights.

Premium Plus now includes the MMI Navigation Plus package, blind-spot monitoring, interior accent LED lighting, and the optional Driver Assistance package.

The top-of-the-range Prestige trim now features power-closing doors, the optional Adaptive-Chassis package, and the option to equip an upgraded Bang and Olufsen® premium sound system.

2019 Audi Q7 Trim Configurations

The same trim levels return with a few tweaks and are now specific to different engine options.

The base-level Premium comes largely identical to previous years, and adds the Audi Pre-Sense City forward-collision warning system with pedestrian detection, keyless entry and push-button engine start, and includes the optional Convenience package which adds blind-spot monitoring, wireless charging for your smartphone, and a rear-traffic alert system.

Premium Plus contains all Premium features as standard, including the Convenience package, and adds a parking-camera system with top-down view, the Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel, and Bose surround-sound. The Warm-Weather package and Driver-Assistance package are optional on this trim.

The Premium and Premium Plus packages are available for sale on models with the 2.0L turbo four-cylinder or 3.0L turbo-V6 engine, but the top-level Prestige is only available with the 3.0L turbo-V6 engine.

On the Prestige trim you get all the Premium and Premium Plus features as well as 20-inch alloy wheels and power-closing doors, and the Luxury and Adaptive Chassis packages.

The Luxury package includes massage front seats, faux-suede headliner, and upgraded and extended leather upholstery, while the Adaptive-Chassis package adds four-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension.

Audi Q7 Vs Other Luxury SUVs

The Audi Q7 has evolved over the years into a highly sophisticated and feature-packed luxury SUV, but how does it compare alongside other models for sale on the market? Let's put the 2018 model Audi Q7 up alongside the 2018 BMW X5, the 2018 Acura MDX, and the 2018 Mercedes GLE.

Starting with fuel economy, the Q7 with the 3.0L six-cylinder engine manages an EPA-estimated 21 mpg combined, which is identical to the BMW X5 (also a 3.0L six-cylinder) and just ahead of the GLE at an estimated 19 mpg combined (with a 3.5L six-cylinder). The Acura MDX meanwhile manages an estimated 22 mpg combined from its 3.5L six-cylinder engine.1

The 2018 BMW X5 and 2018 Acura MDX both feature start-stop technology, and the Audi Q7 and Acura MDX come with all-wheel drive as standard. The 2018 BMW X5 is offered in either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and the Mercedes GLE comes four-wheel drive.
