The gas milage is very good for a car with this much power and weight. The car is extremely quiet. There is ample room in the back seat for adult passengers with nice options located throughout the car. The cupholders are not ideally located but that's the only complaint I have about the car. It's not a cheap car, but it can certainly be a ten year car.

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) This wagon was awesome for the few days I owned it. I heard that the 5 series had its gremlins but after owning a 3er I thought I would try one for myself. Even though the sunroof jammed open before the test drive my faith in the ultimate driving machine was strong. After a few days sitting in the shop the sunroof was repaired. I drove it home and discovered that the headlights pointed straight down so back to the shop it went. I checked the coolant and discovered blobs of oil in the coolant resevoir, took it back to the shop and the service department told me that there was nothing wrong with it. They did offer to re-set the battery charge warning that was chiming on start up. So, the brief drive was worth it. It handled like a champ and delivered the ultimate driving experience back and forth to the service department. Finally, I returned it. Although this one was a lemon I have to praise Carmax's service. They addressed concerns promptly and graicously took the car back as advertised.

so this is why bmw drivers are so cultish!

We recently purchased a 2007 530xit (i.e. all-wheel drive wagon) that had 29,000 miles on it. Now I "get" the BMW hype - the car is comfortable, plush and drives like a dream. Yes, the multimedia controls are cumbersome (looks to have been improved on newer models), but we figured them out in no time. Ride is smooth, power is good, and the bells and whistles all ring and chirp. I thought I was in love with my Volvo S80 V8, but I'm counting down the days when I join my wife in the club of 5-series drivers!!!!
