About the Lexus ES 350
You are driving home from work on your typical commute, or perhaps you're headed out to points unknown for a long weekend; no matter what your itinerary, if you're driving a Lexus ES 350, you're getting there in composed comfort.
The Lexus ES 350 is a popular choice because it just makes sense: a mid-size luxury sedan that borders on the luxury market while offering everything you want during your daily drive. For starters, there's the smooth ride, the comfortable seats, and the whisper-quiet interior. Not that this polished sedan is a surprise: Lexus has been advancing the ES line up of cars since the 1989 debut of the ES 250. Since then, the ES has grown in size, luxury appointments, and performance.
The seventh and most recent generation debuted as a 2019 model and features four trims: the base ES 350, the Luxury trim, Ultra Luxury, and F Sport model (new for 2019). The sixth-generation ES 350 spanned model years 2012 to 2018 and offered base, Premier, and Ultra Luxury trims. Fifth-generation models (2007–2012) came as one trim, the ES 350—but with numerous option packages. All three generations have been powered by a 3.5L V6 engine, tuned and calibrated to deliver varying levels of power and performance. As a result, the EPA rating for fuel economy has stayed generally consistent. For the 2018 model, the Lexus 350 gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city, 30 on the highway, and 24 combined with the V6.1

Q: Does Lexus ES 350 have AWD?
A: No. The Lexus ES 350 has always been based on a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. The luxury sedan is generally intended to provide a softer, more luxurious ride compared to its sporty big brother, the GS, which is rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Q: What year did the Lexus ES 350 come out?
A: The Lexus ES 350 debuted in 2006 as a 2007 model. It launched as the fifth generation of the Lexus ES line, which began in 1989 with the debut of the Lexus ES 250. Currently, the ES 350 represents the seventh generation (2019 onward) of the Lexus ES luxury sedan.
Q: What is the difference between Lexus ES 350 and GS 350?
A: For luxury sedan shoppers, the Lexus ES and GS offer two very different versions of the Lexus pedigree. Though its performance capability has improved over the years, the ES 350 is a full-size sedan that specializes in mainstream luxury, from its front-wheel drive and 3.5L V6 engine (all ES 350 generations), to its softer ride and quiet interior. The GS 350, on the other hand, is a performance sedan, offering up a rear-wheel-drive experience with all-wheel drive available, and a more robust version of the 3.5L V6 engine (all GS 350 generations).
Q: How much horsepower does a Lexus ES 350 have?
A: For the current seventh generation, the 2019 Lexus ES 350 wrings 302 hp from its 3.5L V6 engine. The sixth-generation model, covering model years 2012–2018, manages 268 hp. The fifth-generation ES 350—from 2007 to 2012—enjoys 272 hp from its 3.5L V6 engine.
Reviews for Lexus ES 350
It rides smooth, it looks great, and very easy to drive. It test drove wayyy better than the BMW 5 series and the Genysis for a cheaper price. Love everything about it except for no touch screen (you use a weird joystick... but honestly you get used to it and its not as big a deal as I thought) and the speakers are weak sauce. I strongly recommend this Car. I am happy with what I got for the price.
- Reliability: its a lexus... of course its reliable
- Styling: looks great
- Seat Comfort: very comfortable
- Technology and Entertainment: joystick is weird and speakers suck for a luxury vehicle
- Fuel Economy: hoping the fuel economy would be better.. its not
I went from a Subaru Outback to a Lexus ES 350. I loved my Outback but was ready for a sedan with a luxurious ride and cabin. The ES350 has more than delivered! I love it! It feels so composed and quiet, with smooth manners and a beautiful interior. I also went with the Lexus for its strong history of dependability, and so far, so good. It’s not a race car and doesn’t pretend to be, but it’s a quiet, pleasant and soothing ride in a crazy world.
- Cabin Noise: It’s so quiet
- Ride and Handling: Very smooth and calm
- Reliability: Among the best
- Weather Versatility: I would love an all wheel drive option
FOUND MY DREAM CAR!
This "Ultra-Luxury" Edition of the ES-350 beats, hands down, ever car I have ever had. Comfortable, well made, great ... no strike that... OUTSTANDING options... easy maintenance... comfortable.... I could go on and on; but having previously owned a luxury BMW (750 series); I would not do an exchange... I have found my dream car! Hope it lasts for decades!
- Braking: Super smooth and gentle
- Cabin Noise: Quiet as a mouse... not too long ago; (unfortunately!) I almost pulled through a green-lighted intersection in front of a fire truck! Fortunately, I saw it; but did not hear the siren! Quiet ... quiet! And I live in Houston (which is loud...loud!)
- Cost to Maintain: Finally, a luxury car that does not cost through the roof to maintain!
