A new Eco trim also debuted with this model year, offering improved aerodynamics and a slightly higher hp output on its 1.8L four-cylinder engine (140 hp on the 2014 model compared to 132 hp on other trims).

The 11th-generation Corolla also offers five additional inches of legroom compared to its previous generation. In fact, rear legroom on the 2014 Corolla measures a full 41.4 inches, so passengers can stretch out comfortably.

Reviews for 2014 Toyota Corolla

Overall Rating

4.8 out of 5 (28 reviews)

This car has been reliable, gets great mileage, looks good, and is just the right size. I use this the car to commute and to take my 3 children places. The great mileage helps me to be able to afford to do mire fun activities with my children. The trunk is big enough to store all their gear.

  • Value: Great value for the price. Great gas mileage too.
  • Fuel Economy: Current average is 23 miles to the gallon.
  • Cargo Space: The trunk has a lot of room.

  • Cabin Noise: A bit noisy on the freeway.
  • Weather Versatility: Not built for the mountains, but as long as there is no snow or dirt roads, it’s fine.
  • Technology and Entertainment: My stereo quit working after a few months but it is being fixed under warranty.

I agree with the review given about the car.

Excellent car, except for initial takeoff acceleration. I would consider this car outstanding were it not for the initial slooowww takeoff acceleration. 2004 Corolla CE had much better initial takeoff acceleration. All other driving acceleration speeds are nice (for an economy car). BTW, yes, I tried taking off faster by switching off the Eco mode. It was better but still very slow start.

  • Ride and Handling: Looks nice, not boring, drives well, quiet, smooth. Nice comfortable seats.
  • Fuel Economy:
  • Reliability:

  • Power: Very slow initial takeoff acceleration-slooowww-borderline dangerous takeoff if sudden quick acceleration needed.
