1. Powerful engines 

If you want to go fast, the 2014 Audi R8 can deliver. The car comes standard with a 430-hp 4.2L V8, which can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. If you want even stronger acceleration, choose the available 525-hp Lamborghini-sourced 5.2L V10, which accelerates from zero to 60 in an impressive 3.4 seconds. The top-spec engine is also a 5.2L V10, but produces 550 hp.  

2. Great transmission options 

With so much horse-power under the hood, you’ll need a great transmission to match. The 2014 Audi R8 delivers, especially when you choose the available Audi S-tronic^® dual-clutch automated manual transmission. Or, if you want a more hands-on driving experience, stick with the standard six-speed manual transmission, which comes with a self-adjusting clutch to streamline your performance.  

3. Coupe or convertible 

Do you like feeling the rush of the wind in your hair, or sealing yourself off from the noise of the drive? The 2014 Audi R8 offers both options, with convertible and coupe body styles. The convertible, known as the Spyder, is a power soft-top that’s perfect for driving up the coast.

5. Comfortable 

Sports cars aren’t always known for their comfort, but the Audi R8 changes that. The two seats in the R8 come standard with leather upholstery, heat, and eight adjustments, including lumbar support.
