2024 BMW M4 review

1. Intimidating powertrain 

When talking about the 2024 BMW M4 and reasons to buy it, there just isn’t a better starting point than its extraordinary powertrain. It consists of a potent twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six engine that puts out 473 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard. This setup results in a zero-to-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. 

2. Surprisingly comfortable ride 

While comfort is not always a priority when it comes to performance-oriented cars, the ride experience the 2024 BMW M4 offers can be quite pleasant. The M4 does well to alleviate some of the effects of its performance credentials and the firm ride when driving at a more sedate pace. It does this through standard adaptive suspension, along with the option to reduce the stiffness of the ride through the offered drive-mode settings. The cabin is quieter than many of its competitors, thanks to the clever use of materials and noise cancellation techniques. 

3. Impressive infotainment technology 

Apart from all the sophisticated performance features, the 2024 BMW M4 is equipped with many tech features to keep you connected and entertained during each ride. It comes standard with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ compatibility, along with a 12.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge display. A Harman Kardon^® stereo system is also standard, as is voice control and wireless charging. 

4. Standard driver-assistance technology 

The 2024 BMW M4 also comes with some of the latest in driver-assistance technology. These systems will boost your confidence on the road, improve maneuverability, and keep you focused while behind the wheel. These include forward-collision warning and forward automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, and front and rear parking sensors, to name a few. 

5. Useful storage options 

Convenience and functionality are not always the top priority when it comes to high-performance cars, but the 2024 BMW M4 is one of the exceptions to the rule. Specifically, it offers a surprisingly generous cargo space, which is more than sufficient for typical daily needs and short trips. It has 12 cu-ft of space behind the second row, and you can fold down the rear seats to increase the total cargo capacity even further. Small storage bins for backseat passengers, along with large door pockets and a sizable center console bin, make the cabin that much more practical.
