Performance and luxury
The 2016 BMW M4 is a legitimate performance car that does little to hide its true identity. From its deep exhaust rumble to its glued-to-the-road stance, the M4 is ready for just about anything you can throw at it. But it’s still a true luxury vehicle with all the premium goodies you need. It’s also a surprisingly balanced performance car. Despite its performance-oriented attitude when you lay into it, the M4 still delivers a refined ride when you’re just cruising down the road. Add in its premium, well-appointed interior, and the BMW M4 ensures you never forget it’s still based on a luxury car.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 BMW M4
1. Potent engine
The BMW M lineup is notorious for turning the brand’s generally timid lineup into wild performance monsters. The 2016 M4 is one of these monsters, with a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six engine delivering 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque that will please even your wildest side. This boosted six-cylinder engine mates to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends the power to all four wheels. This adds up to a 3.9-second zero-to-60 time in the coupe or 4.1 seconds in the convertible. No matter which transmission or body style you choose, the 2016 BMW M4 will deliver all the performance you need.
2. Roomy and supportive front seats
If you’re slicing through a curvy mountain road, you need supportive seats that grip you and keep you from sliding around. The BMW M4’s front seats have just the right bolstering to handle this, but they aren’t grippy to the point of becoming uncomfortable. The 2016 BMW M4’s front seats boast a delicate balance of sportiness and comfort suitable for sport or commuting. And with 42.2 inches of legroom, even taller occupants will have no problem sliding into the M4.
3. Enhanced technology
In its previous year, the BMW M4 had a long list of premium, high-tech equipment standard. In 2016, BMW tweaked this and added a standard 16-speaker Harman Kardon® premium audio system and push-button start. On top of this, it continues to offer adaptive xenon headlights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient lighting, Bluetooth® connectivity, and more.
4. Your gearbox of choice
Manual transmissions are getting harder to find in today’s performance vehicles. BMW ensures you still have a choice of transmission by offering a standard six-speed manual transmission that allows you to enjoy the fun of having full control of the shift points. However, if you prefer faster shifts and less work, you can opt for the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers a faster zero-to-60 time (3.9 seconds).
5. Pick your body style
Transmission options aren't the only choices you have with the 2016 BMW M4. You also get to choose your preferred body style. If you’ve always dreamed of having the wind in your hair as you cruise down the interstate, the M4 convertible is the way to go. However, you'll appreciate the coupe model if you want a cleaner look and minimal road noise. No matter which body is better for you, the 2016 M4 remains stunning.
