5 reasons to buy the 2016 Buick Enclave
1. Vast cabin with seating for seven or eight
With a total of 153 cu-ft of passenger volume, you’ll love how spacious the 2016 Buick Enclave is. You get three rows of seating and a maximum capacity of either seven or eight passengers, with two captain's chairs in the second row as standard, or an optional second-row bench seat on Leather and Premium trims. Even when the car is full up with passengers, nobody will find themselves in a tight squeeze — you get 41.3 inches of front seat legroom, 36.8 inches in the second row, and 33.2 inches in the third row.
2. Lots of cargo space
The 2016 Enclave matches that huge cabin with an equally generous trunk. In the default configuration, 23.3 cu-ft of cargo space behind the rear wheels is already impressive. However, should you require more space for stowing awkward items, the back rows both fold flat to expand the total space – up to 68.9 cu-ft with the rear seats folded and a gargantuan 115.2 cu-ft with both rows folded down.
3. Numerous standard features
The 2016 Enclave presents a feature list packed with tech and comfort items from top to bottom, with a lot of desirable features included as standard. All 2016 Enclave models are equipped with rear privacy glass, cruise control, tri-zone automatic climate control, OnStar® telematics, and a six-speaker sound system.
For extra luxury touches, move up to the Leather group which adds heated front seats and leather upholstery, or even go all the way up to the Premium Group which adds adaptive headlights, chrome-clad wheels, and an enhanced ten-speaker Bose® sound system.4. Driver convenience tech across the range
A significant part of the 2016 Enclave’s feature list is made up of driver convenience technologies, all tailored to make each journey as effortless as possible. The Convenience Group trim includes rear parking assist and a rearview camera system to start things off, while the Leather group ups the ante with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, as well as a blind-spot monitoring system. On the Premium Group, the selection is completed with the addition of forward collision warning and lane departure warning.
5. Gutsy V6 engine provides good pulling power
The 2016 Enclave packs a stout engine that’s particularly suited to highway cruising. It’s a 3.6L V6, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and producing 288 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, but there's available all-wheel drive on Leather and Premium Group trims. All of this provides smooth acceleration around town, as well as a useful amount of pulling power — with the available towing package, the 2016 Enclave can tow up to an estimated 4,500 lbs when properly equipped.
