2024 Buick Enclave review

What We Like 

• Cargo space: If cargo space is what you need, then the Enclave is your class champion. It offers one of the largest cargo areas at 23.6 cubic feet behind the third row and a whopping 97.4 cubic feet of maximum space. Adding to the convenience on some models are power-folding and unfolding third-row seats. The liftover height isn’t too high, and the cargo area itself is relatively flat with only a few intrusions.  

• Ride comfort: The Enclave has a plush ride quality that both drivers and passengers will appreciate. Large and small bumps alike are smothered without issue. The Avenir trim that Edmunds tested was equipped with adaptive shock absorbers from the Technology package, which played a part in the comfort. That said, Edmunds also tested an Enclave with the standard suspension and found it quite comfortable. 

• Device integration: Wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ is a standard feature across all Enclave models and works well. There is a 120-volt outlet (like those found at home) in the second row along with six USB plugs (two in each row) and a wireless charging pad up front. There is also a 4G LTE hotspot available, provided you sign up for a data plan. 

 What Needs Improvement 

• Voice controls: On paper, the Enclave's infotainment system supports natural speech, meaning there are no structured prompts that you must follow. Activating the system does give you a few sample lines to get things started. In Edmunds' testing, however, nearly every request had to be made multiple times before the system understood. Edmunds also experienced a persistent glitch where the voice control system would activate randomly without any button presses on our end.
