RepairPal gave the Buick Enclave an overall reliability rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars, which RepairPal describes as Above Average. This rating ranks Buick Enclave 28th out of 30 among Midsize SUVs.
View RepairPal's full rating of the Buick EnclaveIf you're looking for a crossover SUV with three rows of seating, the 2018 Buick Enclave has you covered. With its standard second-row captain's chairs and third-row bench seat, the 2018 Enclave can accommodate up to seven passengers. When not in use, the third row also features 60/40-split-folding seats that can extend cargo space up to 58 cu-ft without losing the second row.
The 2018 Enclave is available in four trim configurations: the base Enclave, the Essence, the Premium, and the range-topping Avenir. Even the base trim is well appointed, with standard equipment including tri-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch touchscreen display, smartphone integration, heated front seats, and rear parking sensors.
Every trim on the 2018 Buick Enclave also comes standard with a zesty 3.6L V6 engine at an impressive 302 hp. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting and a comfortable, quiet ride.
Front-wheel drive is standard on the 2018 Enclave, but all-wheel drive is available on all trims except for the base trim. Opting for an all-wheel drive model will yield you some additional traction and control behind the wheel, even in less-than-ideal road conditions. Buick's all-wheel drive system also comes with an innovative Traction Select feature, which allows the vehicle to automatically adjust its AWD settings based on the selected terrain and weather conditions.
A crossover SUV like the 2018 Enclave is a great option if you're looking to minimize stops at the pump. While many factors can affect fuel economy (including road and weather conditions), the 2018 Enclave base trim with 3.6L V6 engine, nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg combined.
