5 reasons to buy the 2014 Cadillac XTS
1. Spacious and luxurious cabin
The 2014 Cadillac XTS certainly lives up to its full-size sedan title, with the sleek exterior opening up to reveal a cavernous interior. There’s seating for up to five passengers, and with 42.1 inches of front seat legroom and 40 inches of rear seat legroom, all occupants will have more than enough room to stretch out and get comfortable. They’ll also have numerous creature comforts to enjoy, with dual-zone automatic climate control and leather and faux-suede upholstery included as standard.
2. Impressive trunk space
While all your passengers are making themselves at home, you’ll have plenty of space to store all their luggage for the journey ahead. The trunk offers a useful 18 cu-ft of cargo volume behind the rear seats, ideal for anything from grocery shopping to flight cases and golf clubs. Naturally, if you require a bit more space for transporting large or awkwardly sized items, the rear seats are 60/40 split-folding, meaning they can be folded to open up more storage space.
3. Powerful twin-turbo engine
The 2014 Cadillac XTS can be found with a choice of two V6 engine options, and while the standard 3.6L engine is good, it’s hard to look past the optional Vsport motor. It’s also a 3.6L V6 engine, except this one is twin-turbocharged and produces an impressive 410 horsepower with 369 lb-ft of torque. You’ll feel all of that power as soon as you put your foot down away from the lights, but conversely if just want to cruise along the highway, the engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission that provides smooth power delivery.
4. Balance of comfortable ride and dynamic handling
The 2014 Cadillac XTS is a full-size luxury sedan that drives and rides like one, yet can also deliver an exciting driving experience when you want to have some fun. All 2014 XTS models come with adaptive suspension as standard, which provides a comfortable ride when cruising, while also firming up the handling for when you turn off the highway and find a twisty backroad. For extra agility and grip in the corners, models equipped with the turbo V6 engine also come with all-wheel drive, so you can make maximum use of all that horsepower.
5. Lengthy list of tech and convenience features
The 2014 Cadillac XTS offers a stacked feature list from top to bottom, with even base models providing a complete suite of tech equipment and convenience features. Standard tech on all 2014 XTS models includes rear parking sensors, Bluetooth® connectivity, the Cadillac User Experience™ infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen display, and an eight-speaker Bose® sound system. For even more luxury and peace of mind on the roads, the Luxury Collection trim adds heated seats front and rear as well as an automated parking system, while the top-line Platinum Collection adds a panoramic sunroof and adaptive cruise control.
