2016 Cadillac XTS review

If you’re after a full-size vehicle with an equally full-size interior, the 2016 XTS is an ideal pick for you. Inside the generous cabin has seating for up to five passengers, and with 42.1 inches of front seat legroom and 40 inches of rear seat legroom, everyone will have plenty of space to stretch out. Matching the capacious cabin of the 2016 XTS is an equally roomy trunk. With an impressive 18 cu-ft of cargo volume behind the rear seats, even a full house of passengers will have plenty of space for their luggage in the back with room to spare. Should you need to transport larger items, 60/40 split-folding rear seats with a lockable cargo pass-through are included as standard, to open up more storage space.  

3. Optional V6 engine packs a punch 

You have a choice of two 3.6L V6 engine options available on the 2016 XTS. If power is a priority for you, the optional twin-turbocharged Vsport motor is a great choice. All models with this engine also include a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This all culminates in a power output of 410 horsepower and 396 lb-ft of torque, getting you from zero to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds — pretty impressive for a full-size luxury sedan. 

4. Comfortable ride meets crisp handling 

The underpinnings of the 2016 XTS expertly balance comfort with sturdy handling. You'll get adaptive suspension dampers with automatic leveling, as well as rear air springs as standard. This means you get a smooth ride for highway cruising, as well as relatively agile and sharp handling for when you want to have some fun — particularly for all-wheel-drive models.
