Classic four-door sedan
The 2016 Chevrolet Impala is a true-blue sedan with some important upgrades over previous iterations of this classic four-door. For one, Apple CarPlay® integration makes its debut on the LT and LTZ trims and is paired with an eight-inch touchscreen giving you quick phone access. Unlike previous years, the LTZ trim also comes standard with the 3.6L V6 engine, significantly bumping the available horsepower, going from zero-to-60 in 6.3 seconds.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 Chevrolet Impala
1. Engine choices
The 2016 Chevrolet Impala’s LS base trim and LT intermediate trim come standard with a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine delivering 196 horsepower which gives you an EPA-estimated combined fuel economy of 25 mpg.
There's also a 3.6L V6 available on LT models and standard on LTZ, which pumps out an impressive 305 horsepower. The LT and LTZ trims also have an available bi-fuel option, which uses both gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG). The 2016 Impala uses the CNG first, switching over to gasoline when the CNG tank runs empty. Fuel economy on the bi-fuel V6 drops to an EPA-estimated 20 mpg with gasoline and 19 mpg with CNG.2. Driver-assist features
On the LT and LTZ trims, the 2016 Impala adds new driver-assist features missing from earlier models. Features like forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert are offered as options on the LT and as standard on the LTZ but are absent from the LS trim. The LTZ alone offers a rearview camera. That said, all trims come with Chevrolet’s StabiliTrak electronic stability control system and all-speed traction control which help the vehicle maintain its composure even under heavy braking.
3. A good-looking vehicle
The 2016 Chevy Impala is a sleek and sculpted four-door sedan with a balanced front styling and smooth profile. All trims feature chrome accents and a wide chrome grille, as well as an uncluttered center console. The LT and LTZ trims amplify the Impala’s innate handsomeness by offering unique color, material, and wheel options. One particularly striking interior color combination is the jet black/Mojave perforated leather appointments; its two-tone look is complete with contrast piping on the seats and color continuity throughout the cabin.
4. Spacious cabin and cargo
The 2016 Impala boasts 105 cu-ft of passenger volume, and you’ll definitely notice. Drivers and front seat passengers get a roomy 45.8 inches of legroom and 39.9 inches of headroom in the 2016 Impala. Backseat passengers aren’t left out of the equation, benefiting from a rear bench with 39.8 inches of legroom. In terms of cargo, the 2016 Chevrolet Impala has 18.8 cu-ft of trunk space — enough for golf clubs and groceries.
5. The Impala sounds good
Triple-sealed doors and acoustic-laminated glass cut wind and road noise, giving the 2016 Impala a serene quality — perfect if you like the quiet or want to hear every single cymbal crash and guitar note on the Impala’s sound system. All trims come with a good six-speaker sound system and a 100-watt amplifier. Some LT and LTZ vehicles can be found with the upgraded Bose® Centerpoint® sound system, which packs 11 speakers into the cabin. That might just be music to your ears.
