The Honda Accord has all that you could want in a practical sedan
The 2024 Honda Accord has a spacious interior, roomy trunk, smooth ride, and generous number of standard safety features. Still fresh from a complete redesign for the 2023 model year, the 2024 Accord offers a choice of two fuel-conscious four-cylinder engines and can be had in a total of five trims.
The Accord LX and EX models come with a 192-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, a continuously variable automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. Perched above this duo are the EX-L, Sport, and Touring models. Each features a 204-hp hybrid powertrain consisting of a four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. Key features include standard advanced driver-assist systems, and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ on all trims, with the Sport and Touring getting that smartphone integration in wireless form.
Not only is the Accord hybrid great when it comes to gas mileage, it’s also extremely smooth and refined in city and highway driving. Rivals to the Accord include the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Altima, and Chevrolet Malibu.

What We Like
Passenger space: Don’t be fooled into thinking you need a larger, bulkier, and less fuel-efficient crossover or SUV to have ample space for five adults. The Accord has nicely sculpted seats that provide plenty of support even for long-haul journeys. Legroom in the rear seats is also very generous for long-limbed traveling companions.
Hybrid refinement: The Accord’s base four-cylinder is plenty capable, though it’s hard to overlook the many fine attributes that come with stepping up to the 204-hp hybrid engine. From behind the wheel you might not even know it’s a hybrid. Acceleration is strong and the engine is pretty quiet in operation.
Cargo space: Pop open the Accord’s trunk and feast your eyes on 16.7 cubic feet of cargo volume. Better still, the low load floor takes away the literal pain that comes with loading up heavy bags and other back-straining stuff into your vehicle.
What Needs Improvement
Light on features: The Accord does many things well, though it’s a little stingy in terms of features. Sought-after items like dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and wireless smartphone connectivity mean spending more on upper trims. A number of competing sedans offer more content for less money.
