2016 Toyota Sienna is affordable and offers all-wheel drive
The 2016 Toyota Sienna minivan is a sensible family transportation selection and the only minivan of its era to offer available all-wheel drive. Powered by Toyota's well-developed 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a six-speed automatic, the Sienna has plenty of power to get up to highway speeds and pass slower traffic. As a family vehicle, the Sienna stands out with seating for eight passengers, sliding side doors, a low step-in height, and massive passenger and cargo space. The 2016 Sienna is known for its smooth ride.
The Sienna includes several family-friendly standard features, including antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, a driver-side knee airbag, a front-passenger seat cushion airbag, active front head restraints, and a rearview camera. Available features include a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors on higher trim levels. The range-topping Limited trim was available with a forward collision warning system. Just note that if you’re looking for advanced driver-assist systems, you’ll want to seek out later model years.

What We Like
Powerful engine: Toyota's well-developed 3.5-liter V6 engine, rated at 266 horsepower and paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, yields excellent performance. Toyota has used this engine throughout its product line, and it's known for durability and low maintenance costs.
Eight-passenger capability: For large families, the Sienna's available eight-passenger configuration is an important feature. The second-row seats are comfortable and offer extended fore-and-aft adjustment to provide ample legroom in the third row.
Available all-wheel drive: The 2016 Sienna is the only minivan of its era to offer all-wheel drive. The additional traction and handling ability of all-wheel drive makes the Sienna a top choice in regions that experience severe winter weather or heavy rains.
What Needs Improvement
Second-row seats: If you frequently need to convert your van from a people hauler to a cargo hauler, the second-row seats are heavy and somewhat difficult to remove from. They also can be tricky to put back in the vehicle.
