The 2017 Chevrolet Equinox offers spacious interiors and a comfortable ride, with good fuel economy. However, mixed opinions on engine power, technology features, and cabin noise highlight some areas for improvement. Reliability is seen as a strong point, but the vehicle's initial pick-up speed may not suit all drivers.
This is my 2nd Equinox. My 1st one, purchased new in 2013, is still going strong at 235,000 miles. I gave that one to my daughter and bought this one as a replacement. I love it and I'm very happy with it.
This Equinox feels sturdy and safe. It handles well and I like that it's a 6 cylinder - if I need to floor it, it responds!
I've had no issues with either of my Equinoxes. I change the oil and get the maintenance checks done as suggested by Chevy.
Although there are fairly large blind spots, the warning indicators in the mirrors help a lot.
I'm averaging about 18 miles per gallon, which isn't terrible but is less than my 2013 model, which got about 23 mpg.
