About the 2018 Chevy Equinox

Vehicle Summary

The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact SUV that offers seating for you and four others, 30 cubic feet of cargo space, and optional all-wheel drive. It is a great choice for when you want a vehicle that is big enough for your whole family or maybe all of your equipment, but small enough for parking on your urban commute.

Whether you are planning your next family vacation or just want to get through carpooling with ease, the "Chevy " Equinox is a vehicle that will make driving with a full load comfortable and easy. The all-wheel drive and other optional features are designed for you to tackle tough road conditions.

The 2018 Chevy Equinox was completely redesigned from previous model years with a new engine and more upgrades to its already standard features, like its updated infotainment system.

The 2018 Chevy Equinox is defined by its tech features, many of which come as standard. Even in the base model, these include a color in-dash touchscreen that connects to Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. Each trim level of the Equinox also comes with OnStar®, which enables 4G LTE Wi-Fi with unlimited data if you opt for a subscription plan (at an extra charge).

Wonderful car!!

When I buy a car the first two things I look at are gas mileage and front leg room.j. The Equinox get about 27 mpg, an d up to 40 or more with straight highway driving. The leg room in this vehicle far exceeds any comparable vehicles--SVUs Minivvans, automobiles. I've tried them all. This is my second Equinox. I sold the 2013 back to Carmax and used it for this 2018 model. I love the electronics--the car stops if you get to close to a car ahead of you and signals you if another vehicle is in. your blind spot when attempting to change lanes. Much more electronics features-the Equinox I bought is the Premier.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: Leg room in front seat; electronic safety features; gas mileage; keyless entry; automatic trunk door

2018 Equinox

This is my 2nd Equinox and I love it. I love the way it handles, the power and it is a smooth ride. This is my 3rd Chevy and I will stay with Chevys. Mine is Champagne color which is beautiful and I get a lot of compliments on it. It has Apple Play so the GPS is fantastic and I can play my music.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: I drive a lot and feel confident in power an handling.
  • Technology and Entertainment: Love the Apply Play for GPS and my music and the Bluetooth capability.

Cons

  • Seat Comfort: I wish it had electric seat adjustment, but this is okay.

Great Vehicle

It is unbelievable how much power can be packed into a 2.0 liter engine with turbo. You have to be certain you don't press down on the gas pedal a little to hard, my Equinox2.0T LT will nearly jump out from in under you. I like being higher as you travel. The Equinox also has a high enough door entry that I am not always banging my head. Much easier access and egress.

Pros

  • Power: Excellent power response, especially for a 2.0 liter engine.
  • Interior Space: Very comfortable ride. With back issues that go back over thirty years and now battling Parkinsons, I find my Equinox much easier to get in and out of.
  • Fuel Economy: The fuel economy is not bad at all for the comfort as well as the performance.

Cons

  • Ride and Handling: It is easily swayed by cross wind of a passing eighteen wheeler,
  • Interior Space: everything inside is basically dark gray, It is a total monochromatic theme without even the slightest insertion of a touch of color.
  • Fuel Economy: It requires high octane gasoline. It only takes 12 and one half gallons to fill up when it is almost slap empty.
