What customers are saying

The 2021 Ford Explorer receives high marks for ride comfort, technology, and spaciousness, with advanced features like adaptive wipers and traffic-aware cruise control. However, mixed feedback highlights concerns about cabin noise, value, and dashboard complexity. Its smooth power delivery and reliability make it a strong contender despite minor criticisms.

It’s a good car.

PROS
Visibility

Love the visibility while driving.

Dashboard

The dashboard is very informative.

Cargo Space

We love how much space is in the car.

CONS
Value

We are very disappointed with a cigarette smoke smell that started after we purchased the car that we are unable to get rid of. We rated it low and would not recommend it for this reason.

Good Vehicle

PROS
Cargo Space

Lots of cargo capacity

CONS
Dashboard

The radio control and the start/stop button are too close together and too similar. it is easy to get them confused.

Technology and Entertainment

Don't like the auto start/stop feature

Reliability

A month after my Car Max warranty expired, the passenger side mirror came loose. I don't know how that happens, but it's not covered by my Car Max extended "bumper to bumper" warranty. Disappointing!

Best car I’ve ever owned

PROS
Technology and Entertainment

My car has every feature you can have. I love that I don’t have to turn on the wipers in rain. They come on automatically, speed up when the rain increases, and stops when the rain stops. The cruise control adjust automatically when the flow of traffic slows down. The lights automatically dim when you are driving at night and a car is approaching, then goes back to bright when the car has passed. it has a very nice sound system also.

Cabin Noise

Nice and quiet ride, no wind noise at all.

Seat Comfort

Lots of adjustments for the seats and they are very padded for comfort. This would make driving on a long trip totally comfortable.

CONS
Value

I personally like everything about this car. it cost a bit more than I really wanted to pay, but I am very satisfied with this car in every way. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who wants a beautiful interior and a dependable car.
