About the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Vehicle Summary

The 2013 Hyundai Sonata is a midsize sedan that offers full-size spaciousness and impressive efficiency. The 2013 Sonata’s looks are a bit unconventional for a sedan of its class, but its fluidic design lends an impressively upscale and thoroughly modern image. Inside, you’ll find limousine-like levels of interior space, along with impressive features like Bluetooth® audio streaming and hands-free phone capability, remote keyless entry, available SiriusXM® satellite radio and connectivity for iPod® and USB devices.1 The standard 2.4L inline-four offers good power, but the available 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder really shines in terms of overall performance. If you’re in the market for a practical sedan with plenty of space to spare, the 2013 Hyundai Sonata is an excellent vehicle to add to your automotive wish list.

Generation Overview

The 2013 Hyundai Sonata represents the next-to-last year of the sixth-generation model. It’s also a vehicle that’s so spacious that the EPA classified it as a “large car” in spite of its midsize platform. For anyone in search of a roomy vehicle, the 2013 Sonata’s cavernous accommodations should impress.

The 2013 Hyundai Sonata was offered in GLS, SE and Limited trims, with the 2.4L inline-four made standard on all trims. Not only does it make ample power, but it’s also impressively fuel-efficient. The 2.4L-equipped 2013 Hyundai Sonata gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg combined, regardless of whether it’s paired with the standard six-speed automatic or available six-speed manual transmission.3 There’s also a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four, available on the SE and Limited trims and rated at 274 hp with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 26 mpg combined.3 Only the six-speed automatic transmission is available with the 2.0L turbo mill.

The 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS offers plenty of standard equipment, from keyless entry and power windows and door locks to premium cloth seating and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The SE delivers niceties like dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity-based keyless entry, push button start and a sport-tuned suspension. The top-tier Limited adds leather upholstery, a power sunroof, rear console-mounted air vents and heated rear seats.

3Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov.

A real nice car for the price

My neighbor has one and she had nothing but very good praises for it. So, I went to car Max and found one. It is a real nice car for the price. I owned the Honda Accord which is a nice car. But the Sonata was $5,000 less, for the same year car. I feel as though I got a very good deal and I get the balance of the original warrenty

Pros

  • Safety: Has plenty of pep. Handles nice on the highways.
  • Braking: Acts instantly.
  • Dashboard: Lights up very nicely, even during the day.

Cute Car

I honestly was not happy that I ended up with this car when I bought it but I needed a car. After driving it for about 2 weeks I started to like it more and more. I love how big the car feels when driving it and how comfortable the front seats are. I also love the XM radio that came with the car for 3 months. The only downside to this car is that back seats are not that comfortable compared to the front seats. Also recommendation do not get Beige seats!!! Learn my lesson as this was the first time I bought a car.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling:
  • Interior Space:
  • Fuel Economy:

Cons

  • Seat Comfort:

Carmax is not by car store

I have bad credit from years earlier when struggling as a single mom. I make payments on time and have decent income now. However, I am still working hard to repair my credit. Lachelle at carmax in Lithia Springs worked with me to make sure my payments were within the guidelines I had already set. She picked the perfect style car as an example to set my payments and get an approval. I ended up picking the same make and model, just in a different color. Lachelle makes it her priority to tune in to her customers to help them find what is best fitting for them and doesn't just try to sell them any car!

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: This car rides so smooth and handles like a dream
  • Interior Space: There is far more interior space than I expected there to be.
  • Fuel Economy: I have been everywhere in this car and I have only put $40.00 in the tank total. $20.00 of that was this afternoon to top it off before the work week started. It is great!!!
