The 2014 Hyundai Sonata receives praise for its fuel economy, spacious interior, and smooth handling, but has mixed feedback on power, cabin noise, and seat comfort. Reliability concerns are highlighted in some reviews due to engine issues. Overall, the Sonata offers strong value, especially for those prioritizing efficiency and comfort over performance.
Was able to see after fixing the broken windshield that they sold me
on one tank of gas, I am able to go upwards of 520-530 miles on that one tank alone.
Both seats have heated seat abilities. Driver seat is able to have multiple functions to fit the seat to the drivers preferences.
Even being a car that is 10 years old I still have Bluetooth abilities with a more electronic gauge cluster which is really nice.
before I even reached five months of owning the car, my engine seized and required a whole new engine, which was fairly common in this years’s motors.
Because the engine seized not five months into owning the car the reliability became a problem and an expensive one at that.
The cars are being sold for a significant price more than they are being said to be worth in the last 3 years alone this year and car has depreciated by almost $4,000. Even with having significantly lower mileage than expected in this year or car the price I paid is quite steep and ended up not really being worth it after the money I have had to put in it the last 5 months.
can't complain about 38mpg
decent brakes
you could hold at least 7 bodies in the trunk.
The engine threw a crank bearing after 1,300 miles. we paid $1,000 for the extended warranty and roadside service. Roadside still wanted another $300 to tow us just 50 miles. I will not buy the extended warranty again, complete ripoff.
left us stranded in the middle of nowhere due to a known manufacturer defect. Thankfully the manufacturer replaced the engine, but that's only because they are in hot water with a class action lawsuit because of this exact issue. They didn't even replace the timing, they used the old timing on a new engine. Hyundai cuts corners, every chance that they get. I do not recommend this car to anyone.
no power when it blows a connecting rod bearing after 1,300 miles.
