5 reasons to buy the 2021 Audi S8
1. Plenty of performance
A 4.0L eight-cylinder gasoline engine powers the 2021 Audi S8. The 563-hp V8 has 590 lb-ft of torque and sends the large sports sedan from zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds (according to the manufacturer). Whether you’re tackling a long-distance highway trip or weaving through urban traffic, the Audi S8’s eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission has you covered, with a choice of fully automatic or manual modes. A quattro® sport differential, dynamic all-wheel steering system, and all-wheel drive give you added confidence on wet roads or when you need more traction.
2. Discrete appearance
The 2021 Audi S8 is a performance sedan that doesn’t shout about its performance. Based on the latest version of the A8 large luxury sedan, the 2021 S8 shares the upmarket looks but adds some carefully chosen and restrained sporting flourishes. Aluminum-look body detailing, a lowered stance, and four exhaust pipes hint at its performance.
3. A sumptuous interior
You’d expect a car wearing the four rings badge to feel upmarket, and the 2021 Audi S8 does not disappoint. The S8 takes the A8’s upmarket cabin and makes it even more sumptuous. Rich in upscale finishes and materials, highlights include an Alcantara headliner, leather seats, and aluminum and carbon fiber accents. Added for 2021 models to make longer journeys even more comfortable are heated front seat armrests. Rear passengers will be extra comfortable with 44.3 inches of legroom.
4. Feature-rich technology
Everyone will be pleased with the 2021 Audi S8’s level of on-board technology. A pair of stacked 10.3-inch and 8.6-inch digital screens operate the infotainment and four-zone climate control systems respectively, and wireless Apple CarPlay® and wired Android Auto™ integration is standard. Convenience technology features include a heads-up display, satellite navigation, a powered trunk lid, and soft-close doors.
5. Luxurious available packages
The 2021 Audi S8 doesn’t skimp on opulence, but available packages add to its luxurious feel. If you want the S8 to be even more under the radar, an available Black Optic package swaps the aluminum trim for a gloss black finish and adds a new set of Y-spoke alloy rims to complete the look. Your passengers can enjoy improved comfort with the Rear Seat Comfort package – in a choice of four or five-seat configurations – with massage function, lumbar adjustment, and memory settings. The Executive package adds LED and laser headlights, as well as additional driver assistance systems.
