1. Spacious rear seating

The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox boasts a large volume of space in the back – an area that's often overlooked, particularly for taller passengers. Due to the fact that the second row slides and reclines, the seating is extra comfortable and enjoyable for long drives. There's 39.2 inches of headroom in the back, and 39.9 inches of legroom, plus two full sets of LATCH connectors on the outboard seats. Additionally, there's an upper tether for the rear middle seat. This vehicle is fully equipped to ensure that everyone within it is comfortable and secure – not just those sitting up front.

2. Versatile use of cargo

This compact SUV is, perhaps unsurprisingly, highly versatile when it comes to its cargo features. Cargo space itself is fairly average, offering 31.5 cu-ft with the rear seats up and 63.7 cu-ft with them folded, but the exciting element that the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox offers as an option is a height-adjustable power liftgate (LT and Premier trims).
