2016 Chevrolet Equinox review
1. Spacious rear seating
The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox boasts a large volume of space in the back – an area that's often overlooked, particularly for taller passengers. Due to the fact that the second row slides and reclines, the seating is extra comfortable and enjoyable for long drives. There's 39.2 inches of headroom in the back, and 39.9 inches of legroom, plus two full sets of LATCH connectors on the outboard seats. Additionally, there's an upper tether for the rear middle seat. This vehicle is fully equipped to ensure that everyone within it is comfortable and secure – not just those sitting up front.
2. Versatile use of cargo
This compact SUV is, perhaps unsurprisingly, highly versatile when it comes to its cargo features. Cargo space itself is fairly average, offering 31.5 cu-ft with the rear seats up and 63.7 cu-ft with them folded, but the exciting element that the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox offers as an option is a height-adjustable power liftgate (LT and Premier trims). The advantage of this is that it ensures the hatch door doesn't hit your garage roof when it's opened, giving you just a little extra peace of mind.
3. Exciting trims
The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox is available in multiple trim levels. The base L trim comes with various features including a seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth® connectivity, a backup camera, and an available Wi-Fi hotspot as standard.
If you want other exciting additions, like a sunroof, LED daytime running lights, and navigation, the LT trim is the vehicle for you. And, if you're looking for the top-of-the-line version of the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, the LTZ includes heated front seats, leather upholstery, memory settings for seats and mirrors, and an eight-way adjustable driver's seat.4. Color options
Just because you're searching for a compact SUV doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style – far from it. As well as being a sleek and attractive member of the SUV family, the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox comes with a variety of color options to suit every taste. Available exterior colors are Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Champagne Silver Metallic (all of which are shades of white or off-white), Tungsten Metallic (a dark charcoal color), Patriot Blue Metallic, Blue Velvet Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, Black, and Siren Red Tintcoat. Additionally, there are a couple of leather upholstery colors for the higher trims (Light Titanium or Saddle Up), while all cloth upholstery is black.
5 . Clever technology integration
The Driver Information Center, available from the LS trim and above, lets you see information about your 2016 Chevrolet Equinox and displays warning messages if and when a problem is detected. For those who love the comfort of knowing exactly what's going on with their car, this is ideal. You can also set up the available OnStar RemoteLink® to view additional information, as well as helping you find your car by enabling you to honk the horn or flash the lights remotely.
