5 reasons to buy the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
1. Great spectrum of engine options
Start your search with the base turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder engine and you'll find a surprisingly robust 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. If you need a V8 in your driveway, check out the optional 5.3L V8 (355 hp, 383 lb-ft of torque) or the optional 6.2L V8 (420 hp, 460 lb-ft of torque) that both come with a ten-speed automatic transmission. If you want a great mix of power and fuel efficiency, take a look at the 3.0L turbodiesel (305 hp, 495 lb-ft of torque) that gets an EPA-estimated 26 mpg combined city/highway.
2. Fantastic tech
Going with a pickup truck doesn't mean you have to live without the latest technology. Far from it, even the most basic the 2024 Silverado 1500 WT comes with a seven-inch touchscreen and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Hop up to the LT trim and you'll find a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display and a large 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen. Even the base model gets standard driver aids like forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance.
3. Cool off-road ZR2 trim
If your next trip or vacation is slated to take place off of the tarmac, the 2024 Silverado 1500 has you covered. Check out our lots for the ZR2 trim and you'll find an off-road-ready truck that loves to get muddy. It is available with the largest V8 (6.2L) or the turbodiesel (3.0L) and has an extensive list of off-road upgrades. You'll get features like off-road suspension, upgraded skid plates, and electronic locking front and rear differentials, just to name a few. Upgrade further to the ZR2 Bison edition and Chevy ups the ante even further with improved approach and departure angles and even beefier underbody protection.
4. Max out the luxury
Pickup trucks today rival luxury cars from less than a decade ago. The 2024 Silverado 1500 maximizes the luxury and comfort features as you climb up through the trim levels. Check out the LTZ and you'll get leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and more. The top-spec High Country delivers heated rear seats as part of a host of additional features and very much earns the top spot in the lineup.
5. Tow with confidence
Your 2024 Silverado 1500 will be ready to tackle your weekend challenge, whether it be hauling a boat, RV, or other type of trailer. Even the base 2.7L engine can tow up to an estimated 9,500 pounds when properly equipped.
If you need more, check out the V8 or turbodiesel engined Silverados, the 5.3L V8 will manage an estimated 11,300 pounds (with 2WD) and the 6.2L V8 is rated at an estimated 13,300 pounds (with 4WD). Meanwhile the turbodiesel gets an estimated 13,300 pounds (with 2WD), all when properly equipped.Shop with your budget in mind
