One of the best things about this midsize SUV is how spacious it is. There's 108 cu-ft of passenger volume in the 2016 Nissan Murano, and even with the rear seats upright, there is a generous 32.1 cu-ft of cargo storage. When those seats are folded, 67 cu-ft of storage is available, which is more than enough for moving furniture, ferrying around sports equipment, or packing heavy for a road trip. Plus, passengers themselves can sit comfortably with 39.9 inches of headroom and 40.5 inches of legroom in the front, 39.8 inches of headroom and 38.7 inches of legroom in the back.
Beyond the roominess, the interior of the 2016 Nissan Murano has a lot of other exciting benefits. The vehicle seats five with cloth upholstery as standard, but leather seating becomes available from the SL trim and above. The driver's seat is six-way adjustable for the base model, and eight-way adjustable from the SV trim up. The trim materials are high-end and pleasant to touch. This midsize SUV isn't solely for utility—it's comfortable and attractive inside and out.
Many of us think of SUVs like this as gas-guzzlers, which is sometimes true, but the 2016 Nissan Murano remains a practical choice. The base FWD model with 3.5L six-cylinder engine achieves an EPA-estimated 24 combined mpg.
The 2016 Nissan Murano comes with four trim levels, each with its own perks. The base model S is plenty generous with its features, boasting dual-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, a six-speaker stereo, a seven-inch display, and Bluetooth® connectivity. If you want even more luxuries and gadgets, the SV trim adds another inch to the touchscreen as well as an available remote start (through the key fob or available app) and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The base trim of the 2016 Nissan Murano starts strong with a seven-inch display, smartphone connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system, but the tech only gets more impressive from there. With the SL trim, an 11-speaker Bose® system with dual subwoofers takes over the sound—perfect for music lovers who simply have to sing along. Plus, the driver aids start to mount up with this trim, adding a 360-degree parking camera system with this trim. Additionally, you can find the available Technology Package on the SL and Platinum trims—this includes a panoramic moonroof, intelligent cruise control, forward emergency braking, and predictive forward collision warning.
