Futuristic style in a practical midsize SUV
If you’re looking for an SUV that will stand out from the others on the road, the 2017 Nissan Murano is dressed to impress. As a crossover SUV, the Murano has seats for five people and cargo space for outdoor gear or kids and all their stuff. Under the hood is a 3.5 L V6 engine paired with a continuously variable transmission. For 2017, Apple CarPlay® is standard for all four models: S, SV, SL and Platinum Edition.
With a floating roof, distinctive V-Motion front end, boomerang lights front and rear, and curves on nearly every surface, you won’t walk past the Murano in the grocery store parking lot.

5 reasons to buy the 2017 Nissan Murano
1. Handling and comfort
While exterior styling may catch your eye, the Murano’s refinement on the road will keep you coming back for more. Thanks to the tuned steering and suspension, it handles well for its size. While not as far out as the interior, the Murano’s interior offers rich textures, supportive seating, a standard seven-inch customizable display and an available eight-inch touchscreen display. The 2017 Murano has what it needs to fulfill its duties as a family hauler
2. Spacy Styling
Any conversation you have about the Murano usually starts with the styling. The longer you look at it, the more you see. It’s covered in a host of aerodynamic details, helping the Murano achieve an EPA-estimated 28 mpg combined while also stopping onlookers in their tracks.
Features like the front shutter grille, front and rear spoilers, and rear-tire air deflectors direct the airflow over the car exactly where it should go. You’ll be hard-pressed to find any area on the Murano that hasn’t been engineered to the fullest.3. Drive train
All models of the Murano share the 3.5 L V6 that produces 260 hp, which can be directed to all four wheels with the available all-wheel drive option. Nissan’s Xtronic CVT® uses D-Step Logic to mimic the shift points of a traditional stepped automatic with CVT fuel efficiency. The Murano is silky smooth in responding to the driver’s input. It’s not set up for off-road driving, but with nearly seven inches in ground clearance and the AWD system, it’s ready to tackle snow and wintery conditions. Towing capacity is up to an estimated 1,500 pounds with the V6 when properly equipped.
4. Interior touches
Look no further than the zero-gravity seats as evidence that Murano takes comfort seriously. You’ll find them on the four outboard seats. Also, the Murano’s front doors open almost 90 degrees, making getting in and out easier than squeezing into a traditional SUV. However, the rear doors don’t open up quite as wide. With the multi-adjustable seats and a tilt-and-telescope steering column, you can find a comfortable driving position. Behind the rear seat, you’ll find more than 30 cu-ft of space, and folding the rear seat flat opens up 65 cu-ft of storage.
5. Tech support
The Murano has a wide array of tech and driver assistance features at your fingertips, depending on the trim level and packages you choose. The base S includes a seven-inch screen, Bluetooth® connectivity, a six-speaker audio system, and audio and cruise controls on the steering wheel. The SV adds navigation, eight-way driver and four-way front-passenger power seats. Moving up to the SL, you’ll find leather-appointed seating, an 11-speaker sound system, and the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection system. At the top of the line, the Platinum level adds 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, climate-controlled front seats, heated rear seats and power-folding 2nd-row seats. You can also add stand-alone option packages, including Technology, Premium, Driver Assistance, and Navigation.
