It comes standard with cloth upholstery for the base trim, but leather is standard on the SE and the Autobahn trims. It has a total of 52.7 cu-ft of cargo space behind the front seats, and 22.8 cu-ft behind the second row.

Two sets of lower anchors are available on the rear seats of the 2020 Volkswagen GTI, along with three tether anchors.
