This is a spacious minivan that could fit an entire family of 7, or some friends, or for UBER . The inside in so sound proofed that you feel so comfortable in it. The cargo space is just amazing. The last row of seats are easily removable and you can even have a 4x8 plywood boards in it. Also, it is not that high and it could fit in most of underground parking spaces. I have owned 3 other minivans (Ford Freestar, Kia Sedona, and Honday Odyssey). This one, by far, is the best invested money in a car.
If you have to drive a minivan, this should be it!
We love our Odyssey! Before this one we had a 2001 and sold it with 229,000 miles on it! It still ran great. After owner the older van a couple months we knew our next van would be another Odyssey. The comfy leather seats, easy adjustment and tilt on second row, roomy trunk, and automatic EVERYTHING make this van an amazing value and definitely the right choice. Our family of 6 (5 year old triplets and an almost 7 year old) couldn't be happier with it. We added an after market DVD player and are very glad we did.
I know, I know....it's a minivan, but it really does improve your quality of life. It's incredibly thoughtfully designed and intuitive. It's a fantastic car for roadtrips, and if you're a parent and need to know your vehicle will work, and will be safe it puts your mind at ease. It's notably more expensive than some of the peers in its class, but it really is a better ride. For equipment you use frequently, it makes sense to invest in what you really want, and I'm glad I did.
Honda Odyssey Overview
Developed to tackle the U.S. market, the Honda Odyssey is built to be a large, roomy, and functional minivan. It comes with three rows and seats up to eight passengers. Prospective car buyers who put a premium on interior versatility and cargo space should look to the Honda Odyssey.
Honda Odyssey History
Debuting in 1995, the Odyssey was Honda's best answer is to the increasing popularity of the minivan. For the most part, the Odyssey's base model does not change throughout each generation. However, the fourth-generation Honda Odyssey, which debuted in 2011, has a higher quality trim called the Touring Elite.
How It Drives
Though minivans are not known for performance, the Honda Odyssey has not always been up to snuff. The new V6 engine remedied the performance issues some drivers of earlier models originally noted. Fuel efficiency and cargo space allows the vehicle to be the main vehicle used to ferry family members to and from many different locations.
Used Honda Odyssey Value
As one of the best-sellers in such a competitive market, many car buyers should be able to find used Honda Odyssey models in prime condition. If in the market for an Odyssey, seek more recent models that have more powerful engines and perks like a power lift gate.
Honda Odyssey Standard Features
The Honda Odyssey, which is front-wheel drive, is a 2.2L four-cylinder engine and was later upgraded to a 2.3L four-cylinder engine in 1998. After introducing 3.5L V6 engines as an option in 2002, the V6 engine has become standard. Unfortunately, even for modern models, the Honda Odyssey is not fully equipped with the most up-to-date features.
With crossovers and SUVs attempting to steal the spotlight these days, minivans had to step up their game to remain competitive in the family-mover market. Both the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna rose to the occasion by offering an ideal combination of performance, comfort, and features modern drivers want.
