Featuring a solid body-on-frame construction, the 2015 Toyota 4Runner provides strong performance in off-road driving, with a wide range of options that allow you to customize the transfer case performance to your driving needs. Newly introduced this model year, the TRD Pro upgrades trail performance from the Trail and Trail Premium trim levels to include an overhead console including CRAWL Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control, TRD Bilstein high-performance shocks with remote reservoirs and a locking rear differential.
To make your ride more comfortable, a range of available features and options include heated and ventilated front seats, heated and ventilated eight-way driver's seat with lumbar support and memory, a power tilt/slide moonroof with sunshade, passenger-side one-touch third-row access and premium JBL audio with navigation and app suite. A: The 2015 Toyota 4Runner features a 50/50 split fold-flat third-row seat and one-touch passenger-side third-row access on the Limited trim level, making it easy to seat up to seven people in your SUV without compromising on storage space. The 4Runner's second seat provides a 40/20/40 split to maximize your space, no matter how many people or things you're hauling.
Q: How much can a 2015 Toyota 4Runner haul?
A: Featuring an SAE J2807-compliant Class III towing system, the 2015 Toyota 4Runner is designed to haul an impressive 4,700 pounds of cargo when properly equipped.1 With 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque combined with a range of smart 4WD features, you'll be able to get that cargo anywhere you need to go. Combined with 89.7 cubic feet of interior cargo space, you can haul a lot comfortably in this SUV.

A: With over nine inches of clearance, a 33-degree approach and 26-degree departure angles, the 4Runner is designed for solid off-road performance. Q: What engines are available in the 2015 Toyota 4Runner?
A: The 2015 Toyota 4Runner only comes in a 4.0L dual overhead cam 24-valve V6. This engine replaced the prior 4.0L V6 in the fourth generation to improve torque and hp. As a general-purpose engine, the 4.0L delivers a moderate 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque.
1Various factors may impact towing capacity, including weight of passengers, cargo, and options/accessories.
The fifth generation of the Toyota 4Runner included a change from the number of available engines, removing the V8 engine previously available. Though a 2.7L inline-four engine was available in the first year of the fifth generation, it was removed in the following year. Toyota's A-TRAC became available across the board in this generation, where a wheel that is slipping automatically brakes and sends the power it was receiving to other wheels that still have traction, improving overall performance in off-road and slippery conditions. The TRD Pro trim level was introduced with this generation with the 2015 model year, delivering superior off-road options for drivers who want to hit the trails. A 2013 facelift provided new front and rear fascias, projector headlamps and clear-lens LED tail lamps, along with interior updated including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, Toyota's Optitron instrument cluster and changes to the center dash and instrument stack.

Reviews for 2015 Toyota 4Runner
The 4 Runner rides very well and is so tight. The 3rd row seat is also great in a jam when carpooling. I like everything about it. It has everything I need, looks nice, and is fun to drive.
- Ride and Handling: For a truck frame it is very smooth and quiet.
- Reliability: There are no rattles, squeeks, or issues. The parts are also affordable and readily available.
- Technology and Entertainment: The stereo and dash interface is very user friendly and does not have any glitches. The bluetooth is clear very reliable.
A great SUV
Previously I had a 2005 4Runner with a V8 engine and I haul a large utility trailer. This 2015 model year only has a V6, so I was concerned about trailer-pulling capability. But, no problem. They managed to get as much horse power out of the V6 as the V8 had. Mine is also a 4-wheel drive and is great for off-roading. On the regular roads and highways, it drives great and smooth. I love this 4Runner.
- Ride and Handling: Smooth and very controllable.
- Reliability: No repair problems on this and my 2005.
- Cabin Noise: Nice and quiet compared to my sedan cars.
- Fuel Economy: MPG only around 18 to 20
