5 reasons to buy the 2016 Ford F250
1. Many configurations
The 2016 Ford F250 offers three body styles and two bed lengths to suit your needs if you need a heavy-duty pickup to transport your work crew or family. XL and XLT trims offer Regular Cab, SuperCab, and CrewCab options with 6.8-ft or 8-ft beds, while the Lariat has a choice of SuperCab or CrewCab body styles with a 6.8-ft or 8-ft bed. Trim-topping King Ranch and Platinum Super Duty models come standard with a CrewCab and a choice of bed length. You'll also find standard 40/console/40 front-bucket seats in Lariat and higher trims, while XL and XLT trims are equipped with a 40/20/20 split front seat.
2. Two powerful engine options
The 2016 Ford F250 Super Duty offers two robust engine options: a standard 6.2L gasoline V8 with 385 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, and an optional 6.7L turbocharged diesel V8 with 440 hp and 860 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with a six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission and a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive. If you need a heavy-duty truck to haul hefty loads, the 6.7L turbocharged diesel V8 engine can tow an estimated 14,000 lbs. when properly equipped, while the 6.2L gasoline V8 can pull an estimated 12,500 lbs. when properly equipped.
That's plenty of muscle to haul an RV or boat to the lake or heavy equipment to the job site.3. Great stability
The 2016 Ford F250 provides sure-footed performance in inclement weather, especially when hauling heavy loads. All models come standard with AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™), which uses two gyroscopic sensors to automatically avoid skidding and fishtailing on changing road surfaces. This system pairs with hill start assist—standard on all 2016 F250 Super Duty models—which helps maintain brake pressure on inclines while the engine generates enough torque to move the truck uphill.
4. Comfortable cabin
Family, friends, and coworkers will enjoy riding in the 2016 Ford F250's spacious interior, designed with comfort in mind. All cabs feature 40.7 inches of headroom and 43.3 inches of legroom in the front row, while SuperCab and CrewCab models have 31.6 inches and 42.1 inches of second-row legroom, respectively. Additionally, you'll find lots of storage space inside the truck to keep gear secure. SuperCab and CrewCab models also include a flow-through center console with a 110-volt power outlet and two 12-volt outlets for your convenience.
5. Useful tech
The 2016 Ford F250 includes technologies to help you stay connected with your home and office. The XLT trim features a SYNC® with MyFord® voice-activated system, which includes SYNC AppLink™ for seamless smartphone integration. Lariat and higher trims add MyFord Touch® and a color LCD touchscreen in the center stack to access infotainment features. There's also a dash-top closable storage zone with two USB ports, an SD card reader, audio/video input jacks, and a 12-volt outlet to easily connect your devices.
