The 2018 Chevrolet Corvette is a luxury sports car icon, featuring a standard 455 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine. It’s also available in a supercharged Z06 trim, boasting 650 hp and lap times that will trouble European exotics with loftier price tags. For the 2018 model year, Chevrolet introduced a Carbon 65 Edition package with added carbon fiber trim elements and improved the performance data recorder that enabled individual readouts from each wheel.
Like many sports cars, the Corvette has only two seats, and its low-slung body is difficult to get in and out of. The payoff is its ability to surprise. Storage, particularly in the large trunk, is exceptional for the sports car category. The Corvette's track-ready nature does not come paired with harsh ride quality, like many of its competitors, making it well suited for daily driving.
The Corvette remains a strong performance value. It can go toe-to-toe with the category heavyweights, offering all the thrills and performance of a luxury sports car, but without the eye-watering price.

Driving: The Corvette is a blast to drive, with the base 6.2-liter V8 engine offering more than enough power for both track days and cruising down the highway. Braking is strong and consistent, and the Corvette's rigidity makes handling a breeze.
Comfort: Magnetic Ride Control provides solid ride quality and the base seats are quite comfortable. This is still a sports car, with low ride height and tight interior to prove it, but it is a remarkably comfortable sports car.
Utility: The large trunk provides ample cargo space so long as your Corvette isn't a convertible. There's more room for your luggage and gear than most sports cars have, but it can be swallowed up if you have a drop-top.
Driver aids: Front and rear cameras come standard on the Corvette, but there's no blind-spot monitoring nor does the sports car come equipped with many other driver aids that have long come standard in its competitors.
RepairPal gave the Chevrolet Corvette an overall reliability rating of 4 out of 5 stars, which RepairPal describes as Above Average. This rating ranks Chevrolet Corvette 29th out of 30 among Midsize Cars.
