2021 Chevrolet Corvette remains revolutionary
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette brought a handful of improvements to a wildly successful reinvention of one of America's most celebrated automobiles. The Corvette went mid-engine in 2020 to great fanfare and much acclaim, turning America's sports car into a vehicle that earnestly goes head-to-head with cars like the Porsche 911 and BMW Z4 while retaining its relative affordability. Primary among the updates for the 2021 model year were the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ and making the adaptive suspension a standalone option instead of just bundling it with the Z51 package. At its core was the formula that won hearts and minds when it was introduced in 2020: a heaping of power balanced by tremendous handling.

What We Like
Performance: The Corvette can take you to the quarter-mile stripe quicker than 12 seconds and at speeds touching 120 mph with the right package installed. That alone solidifies its performance credentials. But the 'Vette isn't just capable at your local drag strip. The C8 also comes with sensational cornering ability, making it a joy on track days.
Comfort: The optional Magnetic Ride Control suspension can make the Corvette one of the most comfortable cars in its class. While most sports cars have a reputation for stiff, rigid rides, the Corvette has excellent road manners and can handle a few imperfections on its way down the highway.
Technology: The addition of wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is a big win for Chevrolet and it complements a user-friendly cabin that includes an easy-to-reach center screen. Don't worry, there are plenty of buttons just in reach that make the Corvette a practical road trip companion.
What Needs Improvement
Driver aids: There’s no question the Corvette is a technology tour de force, with the exception of advanced driver assist systems like automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Those systems aren’t available and considering they’re commonplace even on economy cars these days, it’s an oversight for the Corvette.
