The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette is a blast to drive, whether on track, commuting, or road-tripping. It comes standard with a 455 horsepower 6.2-liter V8, but for the final year of the C7 generation, Chevrolet debuted the ludicrous Corvette ZR1 model, which provides 755 horsepower.
Even in the standard configuration, the Corvette is a blast to drive. It's also very comfortable thanks in part to great seats and optional adaptive suspension. It comes in a mind-numbing number of trims, starting at base Stingray and working through Grand Sport, Z06 all the way up to ZR1. Those looking for the most features on Stingray and Grand Sport trims should look for the 2LT, which adds the adaptive suspension, a front-view camera, head-up display and heated and ventilated seats.
Even the most basic Corvette is a joy to drive, boasting impressive cargo space for its class and seats that provide impressive support and comfort for day-to-day driving. The Corvette is a hero on the track, but it's a surprisingly comfortable daily driver, too.

Driving: This is where the Corvette shines. It's phenomenal when equipped with the Grand Sport package, but even in the base Stingray model, it's a delight. The engine is plenty peppy at low or full throttle, the transmission operates smoothly, and the brakes are firm and consistent.
Comfort: The Corvette doesn't feel cramped despite a relatively tight cockpit. Its standard seats are supportive and comfortable, and the available adaptive suspension can provide a fabulous ride by sports car standards.
Utility: Yes, you can bring checked luggage to the airport in your Corvette. A large, functional trunk surpasses anything offered by its luxury sports car competitors.
Driver aids: The Corvette offers parking cameras in the front and rear, but otherwise falls behind most of the competition in the driver-aid department. There's no blind-spot monitoring, nor cross-traffic alert available.
