About The Audi A6

The Audi A6 is a luxury sports sedan that has been a favorite for drivers looking for an upscale and comfortable daily driver since it launched in 2005. The Audi A6 is a midsized car, with decent legroom (37.4 inches in the 2012-2018 generation) in the back, making it comfortable for adult passengers. In the front, Audi's upscale interior - complete with leather seats and integrated technology - makes the car feel undeniably luxurious even at base trim levels.

In addition, the 2019 Audi A6 now comes standard with all-wheel drive, making it appeal to those navigating tough road conditions.

There have been three generations of the Audi A6. The first generation ran from 2005-2011, and the second from 2012-2018. The third generation of the Audi A6 was released with the 2019 model.

Although the second- and third-generation models have a similar design, further tech features have been integrated throughout the third-generation Audi A6 to provide a different driving experience.

The voice-control system that comes standard in the 2019 Audi A6 can take more natural speech commands (for example, just say "I'm cold" to prompt the control system to turn up the heat), and a standard mild-hybrid powertrain is designed to turn the engine off when not in use and to restart quickly.

The Audi A6 is a good choice for drivers who want a luxury vehicle that offers plenty of passenger space (with 37.4 inches of legroom in the back of the 2012-2018 model) and an upscale experience in the cabin. It also has numerous available features such as all-wheel drive and rain-sensing windshield wipers that will make you comfortable driving in all sorts of weather.

Awesome performance with sleek lines.

I’ve always had a small sporty car and decided to switch over to the other side ...large luxury. The car is comfortable and responsive when driving. This certainly does not lack the speed of my sporty small sport cars. If you’re a big tech fan then you’ll enjoy all the digital capabilities of the console. I’ve only had the car for less than 6 months. I have a few years to figure it all out though! Summer must be brutal in California because it takes a little time for the air conditioner to kick in. This is probably the only downfall in my opinion.

  • Dashboard: CAn toggle between 2 screens for navigation and radio.
  • Interior Space: Roomy for the driver and lots of legroom tall guests.
  • Ride and Handling: Smooth and quiet ride and turning ability due to Quattro.

  • Fuel Economy: It’s a guzzler. I don’t drive to work m-f and i still need to pump gas EVERY WEEK.

A true driver’s car...

I will start by saying that the Audi A6 is truly a driver’s car. I switched from an Acura RL because of the poor fuel efficiency in an attempt to get something that was still AWD, more fuel efficient and sporty. I test drove many of the competitive models in the price range from other manufacturers, but this car just felt right and more well built than the others. It’s a great mix of luxury and sport, looks great and is actually fun to drive. When you’re on the highway, you can tell that the car was engineered for the autobahn - it’s quiet, agile, smooth and has plenty of power to get up and go. This car is also great on winding roads and in bad weather - I would recommend it to anyone...

  • Seat Comfort: Car is extremely comfortable, even on long road trips.
  • Technology and Entertainment: It seems like Audi has everything covered; there is a control for everything.
  • Styling: This car catches eyes and compliments everywhere you go.

  • Cost to Maintain: The cost of maintenance can be a bit pricey - especially if you go to the dealership. However, if you learn how to do the basics and take some time to turn a wrench, you can save plenty of time and money.

CarMax offered us a great vehichle at a very competitive price.

This is one super smooth ride. We love the way it handles in bad driving conditions. It has an easy to use navigation system, as well as swanky cabin appointments, super comfortable, adjustable, heated, leather seats and ample rear leg room for the back seat passengers. The extras we weren't expecting have quickly become much appreciated and utilized - the heated steering wheel, driver's side assist, rear view camera to help when backing up, light sensitive side view mirrors, and oh so quiet ride. We love it!
