This is a great vehicle if you are looking for a sports car whose design recalls the British sports cars of the 50s and 60s. The long hood and short rear deck have always been among my favorite designs. The straight six is a wonderful motor and will spin the wheels in third. It turns on a dime, and the automatic works well though it is a different animal than a regular automatic. I love the retractable hardtop and the car's profile with the top down. Overall, it's a fantastic car if you can afford to have other vehicles for work/family and drive this one on weekends or when running errands.
Great car at a very reasonable price.

Amazing vehicle to drive. Can't ever get enough of the naturally aspirated V8 sound and take off power. Stock suspension is also great with the EDC option. Fuel economy is also decent considering it's a large V8 - I tend to get 18mpg on average in the city and about 22-24 mpg on long highway trips. It will get less if you push it but you buy this car to have fun so that's expected. Only compliant I would have is that the gas tank is somewhat small for the V8 so you'll find yourself at the pump more frequently.
What I love most about this car is how sublime it is. It can seem tame for daily work commuting, but then can suddenly turn into a beast in a second's notice when you push the pedal down for more aggressive driving.
The greatest car... in the WORLD

The E90 M3 is the greatest sports sedan in the world. Tons of power from a truly beautiful V8 engine. The exhaust note goes from a throaty growl at low revs to an insane, mind-erasing scream at redline. Despite the bulges in the fenders and hood, the car blends into the crowd - until you open up the throttle. The M-DCT transmission is a little lumpy when cold and a bit awkward at very low speeds, but the upshifts are brutally fast and the rev-matched downshifts plaster a grin on your face.
Make no mistake: this is NOT a "luxury car" like a base 3 series. The suspension is extremely stiff, especially with the competition package. But if you want the fastest, hardest, craziest, lap-record-setting 4-person car that money can buy, get an M3.
